Editorial policy
Rural City Journal aims to make place-based subjects clear, accurate and fair. We distinguish what an article can establish from what it can only suggest, and we make meaningful changes visible to readers.
Accuracy and care
We check factual claims against suitable information available for the subject and review wording for clarity and context. We do not treat a map, image or single observation as proof of a place's full history or character. Where evidence is limited or interpretations differ, the article should say so.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Any paid, sponsored or partner material is clearly labelled as such; payment does not guarantee editorial coverage, a favourable description or a particular conclusion.
Corrections
Readers can report an error through the Contact page. We assess the claim, correct confirmed errors and update material when needed, with an appropriate note when a change affects the meaning of the piece.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be AI-generated. We identify them where they appear so readers can distinguish illustration from documentary depiction.
